On behalf of the Regiment, thank you for letting us know about Jean. She played a significant role in strengthening moral for Canadian Soldiers during WWII, in particular The Royal Winnipeg Rifles. I know she kept in touch with many of them after the war, and formed friendships with soldiers over the years on her visits to Canada, and when soldiers would visit Deventer, and many considered her an honourary rifleman. I extend condolences to you and your family, and wish Jean a peaceful rest.
